I have a 2 month old bearded dragon that I got this past weekend, he was adjusting well then this afternoon his front right leg was twisting backwards when he tries to walk or climb. It still moves like hes walking but behind his back. It works right when he is walking slowly but if he starts running or moving faster it goes behind him. There doesnt seem to be any swelling. What could be causing this?
Sorry he is having a leg issue!
Do you have any pictures of him or a video?
It sounds like he either has an injury or is suffering from muscle or bone issues
like metabolic bone disease from improper UVB lighting & supplementation.
What type/brand of UVB are you using for him?
Since you just got him, he came with this condition so it definitely isn't your fault!
Thanks for the reply, he seems to be doing better this morning. His leg seems a bit stiff but he is walking and running around better today. I am using a uvb 3.0 reptile lamp until I can go get a better one this weekend. If it happens again I will try to get a picture or video of it and post it.
