Hello,

We have recently moved into a new apartment. The apartment does not allow ANY pets whatsoever. The rental market here is extremely competitive so we are lucky we have a home. It makes us both very sad but we must now re-home Jekyll, our 5 year old male beardie. It is very important to us that he land with someone who will provide proper care, including daily out-of-tank time, a healthy variety of veggies and bugs, and proper exotic vet care if he ever needs it. He is a sweet, mellow boy, loves snuggles, and does not bite. He cannot be housed with another beardie as he will get bullied. Enclosure and all equipment is included.

Have you found a home yet?

That was more than a year ago. So I'd say either they rehomed their dragon or found a way to keep him.
So if you're looking for a dragon that needs a new home, there are usually plenty of them. And please don't house multiple dragons in one enclosure.

Hi! Thanks for letting me know! I only focused on the months… we have never housed multiples in an enclosure. We only had our guy.

Craigslist and facebook both are resources you could use to find a beardie in need of a forever home. Personally if I was looking for just a pet with no intentions of breeding, I would much rather give a home to a beardie in need over a pet store or breeder.

Good luck with finding a dragon you can give a new home to!
There are so many and here in the forum you can also find the proper help if necessary.
(Regarding one or two: I was just confused by the "another" whether there is a dragon currently living with you or not. Glad to see that I misunderstood :))

True for me also :)
(Didn't work out to find a dragon, or generally a reptile, in need here, but I can also only recommend trying that first. Maybe for less experienced people to first read about serious signs of neglect that might be too difficult to deal with as a beginner, despite I know it is super hard to not take home but leave back a neglected animal (and I know me very well, I could not).)

Me either.
If I were to ever win the lottery or become rich some other way. I would very realistically spend the entire fortune rescueing reptiles.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
