It's possible. They do lose their appetite before shedding. Or, she may have shed again without you noticing and is still full! The only other thing I can think of is that my June refuses to eat anything but mealworms. Phoenix worms and crickets hold no interest for her. Mealworms are a fine staple food for leopard geckos, so you don't have to worry about that. In fact, I once read a study that showed that leos fed on mealworms exclusively actually live, on average, longer than those on other diets! My advice would be to keep an eye on her and weigh her frequently. If her weight stays constant then you don't have to worry too much. If she starts losing weight then you may have to start force feeding her. Don't worry yet though. June frequently goes several days without eating, especially at this time of year. It's good that you're paying attention to her habits - if anything does turn out to be wrong, you'll have caught it nice and early.

She would devour every cricket I gave her until about 5 days ago. Then she ate nothing un til today and I got her to eat 1 cricket. I am at a total loss as to what to do.

Give her a bit more time. June will usually go 7-8 days without eating around a shed - a few days before, a few days after.

I got her to eat 2 crickets yesterday. She even let me hold her for about 5 seconds,so far she doesn't really like to be held, but will tolerate Timmy or I putting or hand in there and some times she will crawl up on our hand but only for a few seconds. She acts very tired and sluggish and wants to keep her eyes closed alot of the time. She has been very active up until the last few days, she would roam around her tank climbing an a rock Timmy put in there for her,and "playing peek a boo".She would walk around her hide and stick her head around the edge as if to say "I see you" now she stays in her hide most of the time.

Sorry I haven't written an update,it seems like she turned white over night and then shed!!!!! I guess I just worry too much. Her colors just got deeper with her shed and she's really pretty. I'm not used to having animals that shed like this, dogs and cats shed, but nothing like this lol. I've had my girls just a little over a month. Alf,my bearded dragon,is doing extremely well, she eats well, poops normally and loves to snoodle. We left her last weekend to go out of town. My step daughter came by to check on her and feed her,she said Alf was NOT at all happy, she let Kelly hold her but Kelly said she wasn't herself and seemed to be looking around as if looking for someone or something. Wonderful animals, wouldn't trade my scaled friends for any other animals.

Thanks Jasper's Mom! Both of my girls are spoiled rotten,as a matter of fact Alf is getting a bigger tank tomorrow, with tile substrate. Freckles is also getting tile. They both like to hide under the shelf liner, have done temp checks(digital thermometer w/ probe,etc.....) don't know what's wrong.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
