Found 1 egg in bearded dragons tank. She's gravid, Help!

My beardie Sandy just turned 2 years old in January. Just tonight I found 1 infertile egg in her tank! We did not breed her, and this will be her first ever clutch of eggs. She has been glass surfing more than usual, is more hyper, and her tummy looks a little bit big. I'm afraid she'll die if we make one wrong step. Tomorrow we will get her a lay box using play sand and topsoil. Her diet will be switched to include a rich supply of calcium. Any suggestions? She is my first ever bearded dragon, so we will take all the help we can get. We are considering taking her to the vet if we have no luck after a while.

Edit: She laid an egg on her reptile carpet, so we are hoping she will not be picky with her digging substrate.

She's still in there. There is a slight crack where I can see into her lay box, and it seems like she's just stuck digging in a corner. I'm going to leave her alone for now and wait until she comes out. Does laying eggs sometimes take place over the course of a few days?

Sometimes but not usually. They will often keep digging once they hit the wall or corner of the container but may lay soon after that.

Okay, perfect. She seems to be on the right track then, digging in the corner. Thank you so much! I'll update once she comes out.

A little update: she went missing in the tank! I searched all over and found her slightly crushed by the container I was using for a cave. No more of that. She's completely fine but laid no eggs, I bathed her quickly to get a little water in her system. I'll let her bask for 30 minutes and see if she goes back in herself.

Yes, I'll get her situated in a moment. While I was drying her off she started opening her mouth and gulping while licking. What does that mean?

Okay, I hope so. She was out of water though and on a towel. Thank you for your help -- I'm on a laptop so it will take some time to take a few pictures of the lay box.

What size container are you using for a lay box? Is it large enough she can easily move around?

I'm not sure its big enough, but its about 20 W, 12 L. That is probably why she never laid. What is a good size container to provide?

Sorry, forgot to mention, depth is about 7.5 inches. Probably not deep enough.

I've used one that size , females used it many times. It has to be filled about 3/4 and have a lid on it with a section cut out of the lid to act as an entrance.
