Food waste.

Hey- just wondering if you guys have any tips on how to avoid soooo much food waste. I have only one beardie and a few dubias who eat the stuff I get for her salads, my store sells the greens in enormous bushels, so most of what I buy goes to waste due to it going bad much faster than she can eat it. I found this has also made it very hard for me to offer her a lot of variety, without feeling terrible for the amount of food waste.

We try to buy the same greens and vegetables that we and the dragon eat. In addition, our colony of roaches has a good appetite and eats everything, sometimes we even have to buy them additional greens. Roaches usually eat 100 grams of greens in 3 days, this does not include carrots, apples or oranges.

If you get containers with a grate in the bottom designated for veggies they last a lot longer. It lets the air circulate better and they stay fresh longer.
