hello,
my dragon seems to be picky (stubborn) and only eats some greens and loves crickets. Is there a trick to get her to eat more greens? If not can you recomend some your beardies like? Also, mine is young (only 4-5 months old)
The younger beardie tend not to eat as much veg,
As they become older you can vary the diet of your beardie up, by adding extra veg,
the only expiernce i having is with my beardie whom is 6 months and eats lots of veg but on her own acord,
she eats all her leafy greens , but me then having to hand feed other veg such as Squash and pepper
Hope i helped in some way!
I have the. Same problem stella hates veg....but recently I have been experimenting...I mixedthe greens with crickets and meal worms.....and I've also dusted his veg with alittle bit of calcuim dust...do you dust your crickets? If so he knows he'll be able to digest the crickets with the dust maybe he see's the greens as non digestable without the dust.stella now eats a full bowl of shredded carrot..kale...apples and some pear. As long as its dusted..... hope that helps I'm fairly new to this always buthaving the same problem as you I know thefrustration it can have......lol stella usedto poop rright in her veg dish....lol like AHAHAH u wantme to eat that?
Ours love collard and mustard greeens, they will eat endive and escarole but it's not their favorite. They love butternut squash(either shredded or use a vegetable peeler)raw- but I've read on here others cook it first. Watch the kale it can give them runny poo! We've been lucky and all 3 of ours eat their veggies- our youngest is 3 months and she does a good job making most of it disappear! Just be patient and keep putting it in there. I spray it with a water bottle right before I put it in for the day to keep it from drying out so fast.
