This is my first beardie and I am pretty sure it is one of her first sheds, it looks like it starting on her tail and a little bit under her jaw. Does it look normal? I really don't know what to look for to make sure she is having a healthy shed. This is also very sudden, I was handling her a little less than an hour ago and nothing was going on, and I just happen to look over and notice the skin on her tail coming up. I also noticed her maw was a bit grey and it is currently bright again, and I found the scales she shed from her maw in her hidey shade area. Here are some photos. As I type this, she is running around her tank and the more she moves the more her scales shed off her tail.
She is a leatherback so her shed will look a little different, probably a little less thick than the regular morphs. It looks completely normal to me. She is a great color, too! How old is she?
Her colors will become dull before the shed & may change in color slightly after her shed, too.
If she seems to be having trouble with any of the areas shedding, you can just increase her baths to help her out.
