Femoral Pores Coming Out

I know this is a pretty common question but my dragon has had his femoral pores like this for some time. Whenever we give him a bath they loosen up but never come out. A few days ago he was out in the sun outside and then went to sit on some wet concrete and I noticed some of the femoral pores were coming out. Now they are hard again, should I soften them and try to push them out?

Yes soften them up again - you can also use coconut oil w/ a soft baby toothbrush to get it on the pores - and gently squeeze they should come out

I heard to squeeze until the yellow/orange becomes white. Do I have to put something on them afterwards to stop infection?

When the pore is flat its out -- they build up a wax that can make them protrude like a candlestick that is when you want to soften them up and try and squeeze them out --- you dont want them bleeding but sometimes that can happen -- if they do that dab a bit of raw unpasteurized honey on it and it will stop any infection --

Does neosporin work?

Personally I wouldn't do anything to them. They don't look enflamed or anything and if they are coming out in their own there's no reason to take matters into your own hands. You could add something rough to his enclosure if you don't have something in there to let him work them out himself.

I would say yes but nothing w/ pain med in it --
Do you know if this would work? If so I might use it if he gets small cuts or scrapes.

I would use raw honey rather than that but either one is fine for small wounds. Does he have any areas that are cut or are you just thinking of having ointment on hand for the future ? But his pores don't need anything done.

Okay, he had a small cut beforehand which luckily healed on its own. It’s just in case. I think Im just going to give him regular baths and rough things to rub against.

A flat piece of sandstone, or flat walkway pavers from you local hardware are great options. You can use any rock though just make sure to sanitize anything you might happen to pick up outside.

Currently trying not to stress over my anemic dragon....she is being treated, but I don't agree with her treatment plan and have been seeking out a second opinion from another vet. If anyone else has dealt with anemia, please let me know how it was resolved. I am losing sleep over this
Another post lol. My beardie does not like enclosures. Her tank is the kids room and she has created a nesting/bed spot in the corner. She will cuddle with my son but she know when the lights are out and the kids go to sleep, she literally goes to her bed like she is our 3rd baby. I love her. And to think, I never wanted a beardie lol
Please help. My beardie is my baby and I am worried she may be egg bound but I can't tell. She is over 2 yrs old and has never laid an egg. She has been swollen for two days and can't tell if she may be impacted or egg bound. Please help.
I'm still looking to adopt. I live near Homerville Georgia.
