Crickets are probably better as a staple, hornworms are O.K for extra hydration. BTW, can you post a pic of his tank showing the light placement ? I'm wondering if he's getting burned at all, causing those raw areas.

You need to get a piece of basking decor directly underneath the UVB - 17 inches too far it needs to be 12-15--- horn worms are good for treats but not a staple feeder---have you tried dubia roaches?

I had made one for him out of Styrofoam and grout he loved it and would sit their more then his basking side, then after about 2 months he began attacking it and almost ingested Styrofoam so we had to remove it, we tried putting it back on a few occasions and almost immediately he would begin attacking it.
Then I had one of those habba hut things he wouldn't go on it and last I had a big rock in there that he would never go on, he actually avoids that side of his tank now that we've removed the piece that he would attack.
Then you need to lower the distance of the UVB --- you can use this stuff it works great - do you have a home depot in Canada ? Or even a local home improvement store or on line https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-15-ft-Cable-Ties-Hook-and-Loop-Spool-Black-10375/304220195
its like a Velcro cut into strips and wrap around the fixture --
but he needs to be under that UVB --

We don't plan to feed him Horns as a staple, but we're concerned because hes not really eating right now other then if we feed him the Horns. I realize you said lose of appetite is probably because of the meds, but if all he will eat is Horns then wouldn't it be better to offer him as many as I can then him not eating at all?
Thanks I'll try some silks, portcreditpets actually is my feed supplier, and I highly recommend them to any one in the Toronto area as they do in-house delivery free in the Toronto area for orders over $20
I've also used The worm lady but they cost more and shipping is a arm and a leg
How many watts is the MVB ? Something has caused the serious issue on his back, I saw the new thread and it's worse. Did you by chance pull at the shed at all ?

Hmmmm, might have been pulling too hard but didn't realize it. In the one pic it looks like he's very close to the MVB, that might have started a burn. I'd use raw honey on the area now, or a mix of raw honey + silver cream.
