Feeding Schedule...?

And dont worry about the bonding too much. Dragons are very very smart. They know who comes in and talks to them and lives with them and where (who) the food comes from, and who picks up their poop, etc. And they love us for all that.

I've... historically struggled to bond with animals. Until her. I don't know what makes her different, but she is. I would do anything for her. I just want her to grow up happy and healthy and hopefully like me... You know, as a nice bonus. :p
Beardies are special, there's just something about them. 🙂

At that age I was actually feeding Atticus 4 to 5 times a day and now we have shifted to am salad, afternoon bugs, and if he still acts hungry I will give him another salad. At least the salad will make him full with something that is beneficial for him verses bugs he doesn’t need.

I put in his food once per day (in he morning before I leave); did the same from the beginning on. I work full-time which means I leave at 6am, come back between 5pm and 6pm, and by the time I got Taco, my husband (usually works from home) was not very much into reptiles, to say it like that (or, precisely: feared both the dragon and the feeder insects).
No issues at all. Taco eats his food over the day, and is not wolfing down everything in one sitting. He also behaved like that when I got him at 3 months old.

Despite my husband is now fine with Taco and the feeder insects, and might feed one or two insects extra (hand-feeding or into the bowl) during the day for bonding, I still put in his food in the morning before I leave: Insects, a salad, and there is always at least one live plant (golliwog, oregano) available and I water it in the morning.

So from my opinion: You can keep feeding multiple times per day for such as bonding, or if you suspect otherwise your dragon would wolf down the food in one sitting or avoids greens. Otherwise, there is also nothing wrong with feeding once a day if you are away.

I feed a full bowl of greens in the morning around nine or a little later since Kai lays around all morning anyhow. Sometimes I do bugs in the afternoon (he doesnt get bugs every day), but I found that he was waiting around for bugs not touching his greens so sonetimes I do it all in the morning. Yesterday I had the opportunity to watch him all day, reading a book in the same room. He first sat there looking at me for bugs. Then he started hunting, digging, trying to find isopods or anything buglike in his substrate. You could tell he was really hungry. Then he went over to his greens bowl and ate some greens! It was great!
