Hi there, got a question...Timmy eats crickets and greens daily but my husband food this Repa-Cal food for juvenile beardies. Says it is a fortified diet for the small beardies and can be given daily.
Well, Timmy won't eat it. Is he supposed to? Am I supposed to even give him this stuff or not? I want to make sure he is getting enough food in his diet. Is this the way to go?
I would think that just like many animals (including us) the more natural food products are better then the "processed" products - but I'm not sure - I had bought some and mine wouldn't eat them either - I would think as long as they are getting a balanced diet from feeders, salads, and calcium/multivitamin powders you'd be fine. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong - just my educated guess here.
I add it to my dragon's salad, and then most of them will eat it. My vet is a BD breeder also and all he gives his dragons is repti cal, so I trust what he says. He is big on not letting dragons get pinworms, and it seems to work very well for him and for me.
