The only thing my 2 year old will eat is super worms. They have a hard exoskeleton, so I was wondering if this is a problem. I have tried to get him to eat crickets, but he refuses. I don't want to starve him just so he will eat crickets. He has eaten roaches, but the pet stores around my area do not sell them any more. Also he does not eat a lot of greens, so I am afraid that he will not be able to digest the worms properly. I usually give him a handful of romain lettuce in the morning, but he usually does not eat it.
How long is your dragon/ They should be about 16 inches long to eat superworms otherwise you could potentially have problems.
Also romaine lettuce is absolutely terrible as it's just water based.
The best greens are, mustard/turnip/collard greens.
My beardie is about 18 inch long. I thought romain lettuce was good for them because it contains high amounts of calcium. I use to feed him kale and string squash, but he will not eat that either now.
Actually kale is bad as well
Romaine lettuce is water based it pretty much gives them diahreia (sp?)
Trust me on this

I have three beardies that their main protein staple are supers. I have totally weaned them off of crix mainly due to the parasite counts I kept getting at the vet. Have you tried any other worms..Phoenix or silkies?
It is my opinion that as they get older, the crix become just to much of a hassle.. why chase them if you can have slow moving worms to munch
Thanks for the tips. I will try the other greens that you suggested. Can you find them at the grocery store, or do you have to go to a special store to find them? I have tried to give him wax worms, but he will only eat a couple then he will not eat them again for a while. I just wanted to know if the super worms will cause back up issues. Thanks again.
The three greens i mentioned are found in my local grocery store
I would stop with the super worms http://www.mulberryfarms.com has silkworms/hornworms you can give those a try
Waxworms are iffy, they can be very addictive and dragon will only want those which causes issues.
