Hello everybody! I recently purchased 500 Phoenix Worms from a website online (https://www.livefoods.co.uk/live-calci-worms-large-100-p-1818.html) I live in UK so order from Phoenix Worms is a no go anyway they came today and it seems like half of them are dead, or atleast seem it because they're not moving, not even when I put them in water to wash off the soil they come in, my question is is it safe to feed them to her? Or are they maybe not dead just inactive and should wait a while before just flushing them? Any responses/advice is appreciated ^^
The lighter color black soldier fly larvae should be pretty wiggly, especially if you touch them. As they mature they turn darker and tend to be pretty stiff. Then they hatch into black soldier flies (which also make a good treat). If the lighter colored larvae aren't active then you may want to contact the supplier. I wouldn't feed them if they are inactive or smell bad.
