I FEED MY CRICKETS CHICKEN FEED 18% PROTEIN AND WONDERED IF I LACED OR MIX IN REP-CAL IN THE FEED WHICH WOULD GUT LOAD THEM WOULD THIS WORK TO PRVENT HAVING TO DUST THE CRICKETS ? FEED BACK WELCOME
THE CRICKETS EAT THE CRAP OUT OF THE FEED I HAVE TO KEEP ADDING MORE.
none of us really know if that will suffice...at least i dont, its true that what ur feeders eat ur beardie eats, but how much of the calcium is processed in the gut of ur crickets and is unusable to your dragon, i have no idea... why not instead find that thread in the diy section about making an easy duster...
Its not the same as dusting, the crickets digest it and it doesn't work as well. If you dont want to dust you should feed your crickets a high calcium cricket chow like Ghann's or Flukers.
You ultimately are going to have to dust the crickets. You can feed them a higher calcium content food for gutloading and the idea behind that is that the contents of what they ate will be in their digestinal tract, which your beardie will consume. The reality is that it probably isn't going to be sufficient for supplementation and more will be needed via dusting.
