Feces pic: normal?

My 3 yr old male has been spending an usual amount of time basking and
making poo everyday for the last month. Prior to this he goes only in a bath
~ every 5 days.

Notice the red surrounding the feces. Look normal?
What do you think is going on?

Actually, no, that doesn't look normal at all. What type of substrate are you using? Have you had him checked for parasites lately? How does he act otherwise?

Tile is the substrate.
Was not checked for parasites.

His behavior is normal other than basking most of the time. Does his very frequent making feces mean he is trying to rid his body of a parasite?

His body also seems darker than normal.

He eats but doesn't have as big appetite what's normal for him.

I would try testing for parasites.

I agree that having a fecal checked would be a good idea since he has blood in his stool, has darker coloring and less of an appetite.
