I just wanted to let everyone know how happy i am, i have been battleing worm eggs and coccidia in my 2 beardies for 3 weeks now.
They have both been on panacur and boycox (diluted with flat cola) during the last 3 weeks.
Today i had a vet give me the results of their latest fecal (yesterday's poop) and the levels are normal again with no eggs present
I have been so strict with cleaning the viv and hands before and after touching anything to do with them, even the locks on the viv doors were getting cleaned.
A huge big thank you to all that have replied to any of my threads, my beardies and me appreciate it alot
well I'm definitely happy for you! and can relate to the cleaning thing...I boil her tiles and basking rock all the time, and have the steam cleaner going. my hands are raw from washing them, and she's hating on me about the medicine. she is enjoying the daily baths (to keep her hydrated), going outside when it's nice, and i think she might be liking the acidophiliz (bit the dropper yesterday). her appetite stinks (one roach every other day it seems). she flat out won't take the baby food. won't touch her greens (naughty dragon!) on a good note i weighed her and she gained 6 grams (somehow :? ) since we started all this. not sure how that is happening, but its better than some dramatic weight loss.
thats good that she hasn't lost weight, my female gizmo has lost about 12g, been giving her critical care formula as she won't eat anything. She hates being syringe fed, an she'll hate me even more as i have to inject her with antibiotics because she has a little lump on her bottom jaw, possibly an abcess and to top it all off she's also gravid, vet thinks she'll lay the eggs in the next 10-14 days. Poor girl, she's been through alot
Poor Gizmo! I hope she gets past all that mess ok, what a drag! yeah, I'm waiting for that next, the gravid thing...would hate to have to deal with that with anything else to boot!
