It looks like she might have some shed coming on -- we can have AHBD take a look see what she thinksI may of asked this before, but do her eyes look droopy or puffy or something.? It seems like they're always half-lidded, as opposed to Toothless' eyes that are always open all the way. Do females have more lidded eyes than males.? Is it because of her hekkin' fat flappydoodles.?
Her neck is hekkin' fat, I don't get it. It's disproportionate to her body, she only weighs 105g.
She did shed both sides of her face today, eye caps as well, I believe. Her eyes are real... slanty.? Like, they're not big or open as Tootheless', if any of that makes any sense. They look almost uptilted or something.It looks like she might have some shed coming on -- we can have AHBD take a look see what she thinks
@AHBD
Could be just the way they are - I got someone looking at themShe did shed both sides of her face today, eye caps as well, I believe. Her eyes are real... slanty.? Like, they're not big or open as Tootheless', if any of that makes any sense. They look almost uptilted or something.
I thought it might be. I can post a better photo, if need be.Could be just the way they are - I got someone looking at them
Yes, she came from someone we know at morphmarket. She was shipped in a container with a heatpack inside a Styrofoam liner inside a package box via FedEx business. The person we got her from said she just puts superworms and dubias in a bowl and whatever she eats, she eats. Her eyes look slanted and like she's got more eyelid to her than Toothless does. I can get a better picture of the slanted in the morning, she's sleeping.She might just be tired, you just got her yesterday so there could be stress involved. She's eaten quite a bit for a 12" dragon, be careful with the superworms. You say she's from a breeder, was she shipped to you ?

I got some better pictures. Her eyes just look weird to us and we just wanted to make sure it didn't indicate sickness.Just let her settle in for a week or so. Don't be surprised if she stops eating tomorrow or in the coming days. Typically the appetite loss kicks in on day two or three.

I've noticed that.Her eyes look normal to me. Beardies physical appearance can be as different as humans can. Once you really start looking at them there is a ton of variation. Longer snouts, shorter snouts, the males can have the triangular heads like a female, or not. She looks perfect to me. My girl Snicker Doodles has eyes that are considerably more tilted that my other two, I'll post a pic.
It's wild, she's so different looking from Toothless. He looks like a frog/dragon and when she's looking straight at you, Nova looks like she has cat whiskers.As a professional beardie starer- yes, the more you look the more you see and the more you see the more you realize that each beardie is unique!!!
Be careful, it starts with the eyes, then other parts, I promise (I recently posted about teeth somewhere LOL)
Gotta love our beardies!! #obsessed
Oh you must've passed by the post where I run from Rocky when he looks right at me. I think he's a squirrel. Mind you I can cuddle with Rocky, feel his tail around my neck like a snake- no problem. If I am on the floor and he runs towards me, I shoot up so fast, it's crazy. He looks for me and I'm like (I'm just hiding Rocky, I will be back) LOLIt's wild, she's so different looking from Toothless.
