Yes, she has no problem eating. Perfectly fine, eats anything I give her. It only lasts for a minute, maybe less most of the time. It goes away pretty fast, to be honest. I've looked at aneurisms and so far it looks like they usually are persistent and don't go away like her swelling does?Drache613":1913x24q said:Hello,
Those eyes are pretty swollen absolutely. Are they swollen like that all of the time?
I agree that he does need to see a vet, as that can indicate an aneurism or a heart or
renal issue.
That cannot be comfortable for him at all. Is he eating anything right now?
Let us know how he is doing.

I'm going to be honest, this is scaring me immensely. I thought it was fine because nothing came back with the vet results and usually its not a big thing bothering her, only a momentary thing and the vet told me not to be bothered. It's scaring me a lot, because from what I'm seeing that this could cost thousands, that if I had I would gladly spend, but do not have. I genuinely hope it is not an aneurism, or anything that serious. My vet, which is one of the only herps I found nearby, charges me an arm and a leg just for a check up. I paid 400 in bills just for the blood work.kingofnobbys":12o1lvts said:Both eyes are very swollen ( looking other link ).
I think this is fluid build up in the membranes in the eyesockets and may be very indicative of a aneurism .
If it is then surgery is needed ( not a good prognosis ), I lost my wonderful smoogy big boy Puff to a similar issue ( died in ICrecovery , never woke up ).
Job for a very EXPERIENCED reptile vet who has EXPERIENCE with aneurisms. ( Hard to find .)
If the vet diagnoses an aneurism , ask about harvesting some of the dragon's blood and building up enough stored blood to do a large transfusion during the surgery ( will be very high loss in blood volume which will produce very low blood pressure ==> can cause a fatal heart attack ( this killed my Puff ) .
I'd suggest if the vet tells you surgery is needed , that in the month or two before surgery (will be expensive) that the vet takes blood for cold storage every week or two before the surgery. Some vets might suggest transfusing in surgery from a sacrificial dragon ( or 2 ) .
Look up aneurisms in bearded dragons for more info.'
If it's not an aneurism , it could be swelling due to a tumour or an abscess , both cases involve serious surgery .
The problem WILL NOT go away with home remedies / without serious reptile vet intervention .
Another risk is the dragon will rupture an eye in frustration by rubbing it against a hard surface or when thrashing it's head about.
Remove all hard objects from the tank. Puff did this to his swollen eye ( blood everywhere !!).

Yes, it's extremely temporary and it has been like this for almost a year and a half now. It doesn't seem to get worse, its always really the same. Like I said, it lasts sometimes a minute, usually less. Especially under her lights, it seems to go away pretty fast compared to when shes laying in bed. It's never constant.kingofnobbys":2s7bruv8 said:Pest":2s7bruv8 said:I'm going to be honest, this is scaring me immensely. If it were due to an aneurism , the eyes would be bulging all the time , and likely getting worse over time.
I was $800 out of pocket for the Puff's surgery and no pet dragon at the end to show for it ( about 4 years ago ).
Same applies if there's a tumor or an abscess (the roof of the mouth or involving both eyesockets.
You say the eyes debulge ? …. that's very extreme temporary ?? behavioural eyebulging ?? .
Photos of her currently with eyebulging and when the bulging has subsided will help give clues .
I think a second opinion from another (independent) reptile vet is warranted.
