Eye lump

I don’t know how serious this is, but Norbert’s eye has been watering some during the day for the past week and noticed this lump this evening. Any insight would be great.

Hello,

That looks a little painful. Did it just crop up suddenly or has it slowly developed over a period of time?
Is it hard or soft to the touch?
I noticed also that her mouth has some dried shed on it possibly or some discharge?
Please review your tank setup with us, such as your type & brand of UVB, temperatures, supplementation,
etc so we can be sure it is all correct.
For now, you can use some raw unpasteurized honey on the eye area. You can thin it out with warm water
if needed to apply it. Be sure there aren't any insects in his tank so that they aren't attracted to the honey & bite him.
I am not sure what it could be, a cyst possibly. It may be a good idea to get him to the vet for analysis if you
can.

Thanks for that. The lump under his eye is more pronounced and larger this am. His eye is still watering. Would like a vet that knows what they are doing and not just rip me off. Any suggestions for where to look?

Hello,

So you were able to find a vet who treats reptiles then?
Sorry his eye is a little worse today. Have you had a chance to try the honey yet?
Have you gotten him to eat anything today? I hope you are able to find out what is going on,
because that is likely going to really start bothering him.

Let us know how he is doing.

Tried honey with a dilution of water. He has been eating bugs and veggies like normal. Appetite has been good if a little aggressive. He’s been basking. His lights are reptisun 10 which was replaced 2 months ago. Heat is 150 watt reptisun. Also has 80w mercury vapor bulb though it is older.

What is the brand of the MVB please--- where is the Reptisun 10 is it on the screen or inside the tank - your screen make a difference as to where it needs to be

Hello,

How is your dragon doing today?
Are you using a bright white light for basking?
Be sure it is bright enough in his tank to help with keeping the overall brightness to make it
safer for the eyes.

His reptisun 10 sits on his screen at the top, so it’s out of the enclosure. His log is about 6-7 inches below the lamp.
Ok what does the screen look like is it a fine mesh like a screen door or a wide hole type ? If you want post a pic of it from above

I can feel her staring into my soul demanding food
She was having a staring contest with a mealworm. I guess I never taught her to not play with her food, lol.

Definitely going to be using this image if I ever catch a fence lizard again.
