It depends....I'm a big bkfst eater, If I eat french toast [ love it with fresh strawberry + blueberry and real maple syrup ] I like a glass of milk with it just as when I was a kid. 🥛If I have oatmeal + cereal [ also with berries and walnuts ] I drink water or coffee . :coffee:If I have eggs of any kind I have water or o.j or grape juice. Now I'm hungry and going to have a snack.

I love coffee, usually espresso.
Yes, I love grapefruit or orange juice.
But I love coffee more than anything else, if only because I don't trust the roasting of beans and always mix and roast green beans myself

I agree, although freshly roasted green coffee smells.... how can I call it.... very specific. I would call it raw peas lol. But, after 2-3 hours the smell opens up and becomes what it should be.
My dad used to use an old percolator coffey pot, the whole house smelled like fresh coffey. Good memories 😀

Yup!!!! If you brought in Folgers dad might have tossed you out bodily lmao 🤣
I am also very categorical.
But not in the matter of the brand of coffee, but when it was roasted.
If the coffee was roasted a month ago, then you can throw it away and no one will be able to convince me otherwise.
Once I ran out of fresh coffee and found already roasted from the store, its roasting date was a year ago...
It was torture for me lol.

Oh it absolutely makes a difference!!!
Personally I don't really like super strong coffey. It's just bitter for the sake of being bitter. I love a lighter roast where the different flavors come through. I can't distinguish the difference on really strong coffey, they all taste the same to me, but a good mild or medium roast and I'm all in 😀

I don't like bitter coffee either. If the coffee is bitter, it was prepared incorrectly.
Coffee has 3 stages: sour, tasty, bitter.
These stages pass one after another during preparation. It is important to stop the preparation at the "tasty" stage - this is the art of the barista.
Believe me, I can get tasty coffee without bitterness from dark beans. This is done by adjusting the degree of grinding, the amount of water and the pressure of the water that passes through the ground coffee.

ps: probably everyone already understood that coffee is my favorite drink lol:ROFLMAO:

If they didn't I bet they do now 😁
I've never roasted my own, but I have ground it. Honestly even buying roasted beans taste better than just buying a can of premade.
Someone gave me some really good beans for Christmas one year. I lost the darned package in a move and could never remember the brand or name. When I ask her she had no idea, she said she just ask the person working there what was good.

Oh, you should try it if you have the time and inclination.
Coffee that you roast yourself will taste much better than store-bought because it will be fresh.
By the way, in your country they make great coffee roasters. I ordered one for myself about 15 years ago (I remember waiting a month or two for it to arrive). I found their website and they still make them. Maybe someone will be interested in this, so I will leave a link. It is a great machine.

a poem by AHBD (THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LOVE IT!)

Sir Henry the dragon
Looking for his dragon girl
Ventures out in to the wide world
His hopes are up but as you can see
There is no dragon girl for Sir Henry
A light bulb goes off and he takes mom aside
Could you perchance get me a mail order bride ?
