Escaping?

Is it normal for a 2 year old bearded dragon to try to escape? I take him outside everyday and he always attempts to jump over the backyard fence even though it’s like 6 feet tall. What should I do to get him to stop? I dont want him to fall onto his back or get hurt.

i'd say to let him do his thing because eventually he'll get bored or sick of it but if your really that concerned just pick him up and place him away from the fence
