Hey, I think I may have found the cause for all of the weird behavior this past month or so. I took in a fecal for a recheck after she was treated for pinworms, and they found entamoeba, said it’s normal but because of the runny stool she’s had for quite a while, they want to treat it. They prescribed her something with an m, I think it was metronidazole? But, I just want to make sure this is safe for her to take? She has her appointment scheduled for 5 days, and that’s when she would get her first dose. Do I need to get her medication sooner? I read that this can be fatal if not treated. She is eating normally, hunting, drinking water fine, her energy is back up a little, although she did lose some of her energy for a few days, and I’m unsure if she’s losing weight. Beard color looks good. Only symptoms are a smidge less energy this past week or so, and the runny stools she’s had since I got her. She was just on medication for her pinworms, it was pyrantal or something like that. I don’t want to do more harm than good by giving her more medication if she doesn’t need it, if that makes sense.
