enclosure from display case

After doing some research, I just purchased a display case and am considering making into a larger Viv for my boy Kovu. I was just told that you can't have "good husbandry with conversions" on a diy reptile enclosures Facebook page. I have seen many "conversions" and never heard this before. I just want to give my boy more space but don't want to do anything that will harm him. Would love some feedback.

Dragons need floor space not height - can you post a pic of it and some others on here w/ more diy can help

Inside dimensions are 19" deep, 44.5 wide and 20" height.its also already on casters which is helpful as I am not as strong as I used to be and with a gsd in the house that sheds like crazy, I need to be able to clean behind it. I have some nice ideas for it and a very talented husband to put them to work. Lol it will be time consuming and you might be able to tell it's in the middle of our workout room right now. Some of the work will have to wait until spring unless I can squeeze some space in hubby's workshop.
