hello, we are planning to build an enclosure and i’m wondering about dimensions. we are looking at doing something 48”L x 16”D x 27”H my concern is about the 16” depth. the overall volume will be plenty but is 16” going to be too narrow? our little dude is only 3mo old so who knows what length they’ll end up. thanks in advance for any insights!
I would make the depth longer if possible. 16'' will be too narrow for an adult to be comfortable. They often grow to 20+'' long from nose to tail, and while they are able to turn and squeeze through smaller spaces, it's best to provide them with as much room as possible. If you're building your own setup, I'd make it as large as you have the space to allow for if you can.
