Hello everyone my name is nick and my female "rusty" laid eggs 2 night ago. They looked great very unexpected thou. I had her housed with a male German giant I was told, now back to the eggs they looked real good at first now they are losing shape. It's 84 degrees with 75 humidity in the incubator... The eggs are starting to lose shape some look thicker then others and this is my first time and idk how to help them or post pics from my phone. Some look almost deflated some are think and thin they all looked great when then where laid now I'm on day 3 and they look odd. Please help I looked on the site with no luck thank you
Anyone please help... I can't just let eggs die idk what's going on I'm new looking for help for these innocent eggs and this seems like a good emergency but idk I wish I could post pics
I have no experience with breeding or egg-laying...but it sounds like you really need help. I searched around and found a couple threads on deflated eggs and this one has some good info in it.
Also, it doesn't sound like she had enough calcium while she was gravid, thus causing the eggs to not be strong enough. Unless I see what they look like I can't tell you for sure, but it sounds like they might not make it. What do you have the eggs sitting in? You aren't pouring water directly on the eggs are you? What are your temps in the incubator?
Thanks I looked around but it's hard to find stuff from the phone. My temp stays at 84 and hum is 75. Maybe she did not i did not know she was Gracie until a little over a week ago. So it was too late but she is earring enough now I hope this was all unexpected and thanks for the help
