My beardie Toothless is due to lay infertile eggs but I just wanted to know what behaviour she will reflect when she is ready to start laying?
One minute she is constantly sleeping, the next she's here there everywhere. We have provided a box for her to nest I'm but she's the least bit interested in it.
It's her first batch of eggs and we have been told that there's a chance she could need an operation if she doesn't lay....
I would look for a decrease in appetite and restless behavior. Look for her starting to dig at her substrate. If you see that, put her in the lay box with a tunnel started for her and see if she will dig in the soil and lay the eggs.
