E coli carrot recall

Hello, I'm being a nervous Nellie here. There was recently a recall on organic carrots because of e coli. I checked the bag in the fridge and it falls under the ones recalled. I threw them out. Clapton seems fine and the vet just told me to watch him. I hope he isn't sick. Does anyone have any hints on what I should keep an eye out for? What would symptoms be or are there any?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It would be similar symptoms as humans would get. Watch for upset tummy's such as lack of appetite and loose stools.

FWIW I ate half a bag of the recalled carrots a few weeks ago and I remember having a stomach ache for 2 days but thats it.

E coli has many different strains and it will affect people in different ways.
