Hi Everyone,
Please tell me if im doing it right or if i need to change some things just making sure my beardie is getting the right supplementation and not overdosing :?
1) I dust multivitamin powder on one meal feeders in a week.
2) I dust just only calcium powder 1st meal of the day the rest of his meals have no powder.
3) I dust calcium w/D3 twice a week since i already have a good UVB bulb dont want him to get overdose on D3.
4) I always dust one meal of feeders and some over veggies/salad.
Does that seem good or does something needs changing?
Thanks!
So depending on the age of your dragon, the dusting needed varies. So basically if they are quite young, calcium dusting should be done everyday. Multivitamin powder and calcium should never be dusted together on the same food item. Normally what I do for my 6mo old beardie is I will dust the first feed of crickets with calcium everyday, and put some on his salad. Three or four days a week I will dust the first load of crickets with multivitamin and then also dust a bit of salad with calcium.
But as you said, you do have a good UVB so your feeding schedule seems to be perfect

Thank you Chanza! I just wanted to double check as i seen some posts on here and wanted to make sure. Also, reading that they can OD on too much Calcium and D3 so wanted to make sure its the right balance
