So I plan on setting up a dubia colony and ordering reptiworms online. How many of each would I feed a 1 yr old and a 5-6 month old? They both eat their veggies just fine.
Also what would be a good amount of dubia to start with to make a sustainable colony for both dragons?
I don't know about a 1 year old but I bought 2000 dubia nymphs and 1300 reptiworms about 3 weeks ago for my 3 month old. she eats about 50 reptiworms a day and won't eat more than that but will chow through another 20-30 dubia if I put them in her cage for her. I have a wine cooler to slow down the molting process on the reptiworms but honestly think my last 300 will turn to flies before they get eaten, so I'm guessing for you 1300 would last you 3 weeks if you have a way to slow them down. and I still have at least 200 feeder dubia left after 3 weeks, but I also ordered 300 butter worms to keep in the fridge so that has helped sustain my dubia feeders.
as for my coIony i put about 500 dubia into a breeder box and am just waiting for them to turn into adults and breed, but I did it this way so I could adjust to having adult roaches so I wouldn't recommend this way for a colony if you don't want to wait forever
