hey i forgot about my colony for a while and theres a lot of mold on egg cartons im assuming from the poop buildup on them keeping the carts moist. my question is do i throw all the roaches away ?they have still been breeding and theres alot of babies. im buying a new bin and bought some more roaches to start over but is is safe to keep these roaches that have been living on the molded egg cartons ?
I would probably remove the moldy cardboard and any other visible moldy or damp bits of food etc in order to clean things up a bit. Then put down some fresh cardboard for them along with some fresh food. Give them a week or two before feeding them off again and I'd imagine they'll be OK if they're acting healthy after that.
