Hey guys,
So something I've been wondering about for awhile but haven't found the answer to, is what causes some beardies to have a droopy lower eyelid? I had been browsing different breeder sites checking out the babies (withdrawl, all the kiddos are brumating ) and noticed a lot of beardies with droopy lower lids. Does anybody know if this somehow related to improper husbandry or... ? :dontknow:
Sometimes it just genetics but it can also be caused by dehydration. I though I read some where that too little or maybe too much Vit A can also cause it, I can't quite remember now.
Midna has the "hound dog eyes". I was reading up on it also and seen that it can be from genetics. She isn't dehydrated, I did the skin checking thing and she always has a bowl of water in her viv. But that could be another reason. I read that as long as they are red or puffy then it should be alright.
Hopefully I got that correct, I am still learning the ways of the beardie
Thanks for the answers! Genetics seems to make sense in this case, since it seemed common to various clutches.
I've been thinking about getting a female, especially since the boys are sleeping, but I wasn't sure if I should be avoiding ones with droopy eyes. Sounds like it's ok, then
