This can be caused by different things, but is not uncommon. Sometimes it's just from them bumping up on things like the sides of the enclosure. I would probably avoid antibiotics for a long period of time, since that can have negative effects on them. Manuka or really any kind of unpasteurized/raw honey should help with healing and is likely to be the best tasting option. Dabbing the area with an oral cleanser like MaxiGuard gel might also be helpful. If the area starts to look worse, I'd probably go back to the vet for another check, but hopefully it will heal over and not cause a problem long term. [/QUOTE]
