Hello everyone!

I'm getting my first bearded dragon in a couple weeks and I was wondering if this piece of driftwood is fine to use after I sanitize it. I’ve read something about cedar, pine, spruce etc woods being dangerous for bearded dragons and I noticed there are some red, pink spots as seen in the first picture but I can’t tell if it’s one of those woods. I collected it by the river near where I live, and I think it would make a good basking platform.

Thanks!!

As long as it has no too sharp edges and that there are no splinters in it, then you should be good👍 :)

I remember getting my beardie in January. I didn't find any wood so I bought it but since out here in utah there's A LOT of rocks that can stay warm for a while helped out a lot

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
