My male bearded dragon has stopped eating the super worms that I give him. He used to eat them all the time, and he would get excited when he even saw the container the worms came in. But now, he slowly started to eat less and less worms until he stopped eating them all together. He still eats his veggies which is good, but I'm just a bit confused as to why he stopped eating the worms. What's happening? Is this normal? :?
He's a little over a year old, 17 inches long, and weighs about 15oz (425g)
It's normal for them to start transitioning to mostly salads but they usually still like having a bit of protein like worms or crickets. As long as he's still eating a good amount of veggies and isn't losing weight, is pooping regularly, etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much. He may just be going through a phase where he doesn't feel like eating worms.
