Holy crap it had to zoom in and search to find him lol. Kai definitely has the top of the line camoWatching "TV" from the confort of his enclosure. Just realized that the window reflects on the black wall of his tank when the curtain is open. He is fascinated! (great for when they cant roam outside of their enclosure lol)
Hey thats a great idea...opening blinds/curtains before the lights come on! Kai is a good sleeper and always looks so aggravated when those lights first come on full blast at 730 am.Holy crap it had to zoom in and search to find him lol. Kai definitely has the top of the line camo
I give all my beardies a window view, 4 of them can see the street so stuff is always moving. If I forget to open the blinds they get (rhymes with sissy) with me lol.
Whoever is in the living room (Apricot right now) sees the back yard. Not much to watch there so I put up pinwheels and sat the fruit trees(potted) for that window. Now that she is strong enough to climb her decor, she spends most of the day in the window also.
Another thing I do now that it's getting daylight earlier, I open the blinds and let them start waking up naturally BEFORE their lights just pop on. I now have about a 30 minute "window" (pun intended lol) before the lights pop on. It actually makes a noticeable difference in their behavior![]()
Yup. We hate when someone turns on a light while we are sleeping, it's reasonable to think they do toHey thats a great idea...opening blinds/curtains before the lights come on! Kai is a good sleeper and always looks so aggravated when those lights first come on full blast at 730 am.
Thats so cute! I wish Clapton could watch tv when I'm not there. Unfortunately, his house is directly under it. I kinda wanted to get an old phone that I could put in his house & have some kind of graphics for him to watch. Has anyone found a good way to do that?Watching "TV" from the confort of his enclosure. You could prop a tablet just outside his enclosure...Id do that while youre home first to make sure he likes it and is able to look away from it if he doesnt. I wouldnt put it right in his enclosure though, too many possibilities for harm if he somehow eats a piece off it or it overheats etc. Or maybe get one of those electronic picture frames that shows a bunch of photos (again outside his enclosure). Id definitely watch his reaction to make sure it doesnt stress him out though. Thats not really a tv Kai is watching..its the view from outside which is reflected by the black side wall of his enclosure when the curtain is open lol. But after awhile it aggravates him so when he goes to hide, I just close the curtain and he comes back out.Thats so cute! I wish Clapton could watch tv when I'm not there. I would too if I could lol...he is in grandson's bedroom and theres no tv in there. My daughter leaves her tv on for her dogs.So am I the only one that leaves the TV on for my beardies daily? I can't be the only one.
Rocky has a distant window view and will only pay attention to tv when he's sitting in the window. I tend to believe he's enjoys the noise... it's low.
Ruby EXPECTS his tv on daily and on time.
I used to leave the computer playing, but Christina works in there now.So am I the only one that leaves the TV on for my beardies daily? I can't be the only one.

Aww Apricot is a lil' Trekkie in the makingI used to leave the computer playing, but Christina works in there now.
Stumpy will watch tv for a few minutes but Apricot LOVES tv. She'll watch it as long as something is going on. She seems to like stuff with spaceships and lasers.
Kai looks so cute completely mesmerized by his "TV"! What is the material of the black side of the wall that it can reflect the window view? Is it like a ceramic or glass with a black cover on the outside of it?Thats not really a tv Kai is watching..its the view from outside which is reflected by the black side wall of his enclosure when the curtain is open lol. that's so funny that your beardies have such different reactions to the TV (and I love that Ruby is a diva about itSo am I the only one that leaves the TV on for my beardies daily? I can't be the only one.

The enclosure is black pvc...its a dubia enclosure. Funny, but some animals really dont like nature videos! Kai hates them, and NickAVD said his Foxy doesnt like them either. My other daughter's dogs get so stressed out when an animal appears on a nature video...they start barking and lunging for the TV (its wall mounted), as if the animals they see are real! Ive tried it both ways but Kai seems to like the curtains closed. I guess its a security thing lol.Aww Apricot is a lil' Trekkie in the making

I actually wish Licky took any interest in the TV so I could watch it while he sits with me, but he acts like it's no different than a blank white wall (well, that's a lie, if it's a blank white wall at least he'll run headfirst into it and bonk his nose). I used to even try putting on videos of the Australian outback, or macro videos of bugs, or even videos of other beardies to entice him, but nothing gets a reaction out of him.
The only thing he's interested in is sitting by the window that overlooks nothing but the parking lot... I've tried putting him in windows with better views (like of my flowers, or visiting birds), but he always runs back to the other window and his preferred view of huge stretches of asphalt...
in that case maybe I'll try the TV again but this time put on something less potentially stressful for an animalThe enclosure is black pvc...its a dubia enclosure. So true. Rocky hates animals and leaves on TV. In person, absolutely nothing moves Rocky when he's in my arms. We've gone on walks, been around barking dogs, in homes where puppies tried to lick him and he could care less. Rocky will watch trees out of HIS window with ease. The enclosure is black pvc...its a dubia enclosure. Funny, but some animals really dont like nature videos!
