Hello! My name is kat, my dragons name is Kirk, and we are new to this forum! It all started when a friend asked my sister and I to dragon sit for her while she was on vacation. I had never spent much time around bearded dragons before and didnt really feel one way or the other about them. But after dragon sitting I was obsessed!! So after some preparation (pretty much just lurking around this site  ) we got this little guy
I'm really loving the beardie life and look forward to a long time of it!
That's how it happened to me as well! My son looked after his girlfriend's dragon while she was out of town. Then he rescued one himself. That was 6 years ago. I began taking care of my son's dragon while he was out of town working. After he took her home, I missed her so much. So when someone I knew was looking for a home for her beardie, I jumped on it. Now I am the proud owner of Loki and just love him. Recently, my son's beardie came to live with me permanently as well because he goes out of town so often and we both felt that living with me would be less stressful for her than moving her back and forth. She is getting pretty old (9 or 10) and he wants her last years to be comfortable. Now my house is a zoo! Two dogs, a cat and two beardies! And I wouldn't have it any other way!
