Hey guys! I got my guy Suga about two months ago. He's 120g, about 4 months old probably. 40 gallon breeder, mid 70s on cool side and 105ish in basking spot. It can hit 110 at times. Reptisun 10.0. My questions is that he's been acting a little sluggish. The past two days I took him out to do errands with me and get his nails trimmed. On Wednesday we went to the store I purchased him at and the staff gave him about 9 wax worms ( a lot, I know, but he doesn't get them often). On Thursday we went to the pet store I work at and had his nails filed down and he got a handful of crickets. Now today he hasn't been basking too much. He's on his hot side still, just in his hammock where it's about high 80s-low 90s. He also isn't eating much today when usually he eats like a pig. He's also been sleeping a lot today. He was fine yesterday, napping a bit more than usual, but it seems he's sleeping a lot today and is just sluggish. Wouldn't even poop in his bath! Is he just having a lazy day or should I be worried?
Edit: Also I usually open my blinds when I leave for work but I forgot today. Would lack of sunlight do anything just for one day? He still got some sunlight. Also his tail is shedding but he's never been like this during shed.
Hi there, it could be a couple of things. Is Suga used to going on long outings and having nails trimmed ? That could have worn him out. And the other thing is the waxworms....they are very fatty + not a good food item. He may have an upset stomach. See how he does in a couple of days, he should be fine.

He's used to going on long outings but this is the first time he's had his nails done. Yeah, I normally don't give him wax worms but it's his 'treat' at the store. Alright, thank you. Currently he's pancaked out on his hammock. At what point do I call it and take him to the vet?
He wouldn't be needing a vet. If he doesn't poo give him some unsweetened applesauce, baby food prunes or squash with or without a few drops of veg. oil to help him out. He should be back to normal in no time.
I agree, give it a week or so, but if he's not eating normally and is still lethargic in a week then get a fecal sample to the vet, it's always possible he picked up parasites on his outing or at the pet stores. I doubt it, but if this doesn't pass it's a possibility to keep in the back of your head. It's most likely too many wax worms upset his system...

Alright. Thank you. I'm going to give him another bath tonight to see if that helps any. He's already had a bit to eat this morning so I'm feeling better that he might have just been tired yesterday.
