Drachen and Treven updated 1/18/12

My fiancee and I bought Drachen on Saturday at 9am, I lost power due to Hurricane Irene on Sunday at 7am. I was worried about the lack of UV and heat so my fiancee and I cuddles with Drachen. Drachen started to eat from my hand and will actually crawl onto my hand now, I also put my shirt I was wearing that into the tank for warmth at night. Now Drachen only wants to sleep on my shirts so I put 2 in the tank permanently. I got power back today at 3:30pm so it was a pretty good first 4 days.

No it's a 40d my fiancees father has a rebel so we share lenses. I have more macro lenses he has more telephoto.

It's a Canon 40D with a 50mm compact macro lens on paper the lens doesnt seem impressive but it is the best macro lens bang for buck on market. I am using a cheap jewelry scale and it works fine goes up to 1000gs and is accurate to .1.

Both beardies are sleeping on one of my pillows right now its so cute. They just had a bath together as more sheds are on the way.

So my babies are growing
Drachen is 32.4g and 4.1'' nose to vent would probably put Drachen around the 15 week old mark.
Treven is 13.3g and about 3.0'' nose to vent that puts Treven about 5-6 weeks from Drachens size as she was a little bigger than that on Sept 16th.

They are both healthy eaters and have a shed like every 2-3 weeks now.

I think Treven is about the same age as my baby bearded, she is 3" as well nose to vent.. 7 from nose to tail. I estimated about 10wks old. I don't have any scales to weigh her though. I actually don't even really know the gender, can you accurately tell at that age?

So I've noticed that Drachen always poops on the same side of the tank within like 3in of the previous days poop location I had a dog that did this and always pooped on same side of yard It's funny.

Nikka goes wherever on her basking spot. Almost everyday. She nails her blanky. Good thing I have a supply of like 30 of them (they are really flat cloth diapers- perfect. i can bleach them!) and I wrap her in them at night or she won't go to sleep. haha She finally hit 40 grams. My little tank. Another shed too. The shedding is insane! Poor things huh? This will be the first weekend I leave her alone (all weekend) ever since I have had her. My hubby and 10yo son will be caring for. I have a whole page of care instructions for her. My poor family! haha We still have dogs, cats, others lizards and most recently a bird we are recouping that was attacked (wild bird). Sounds like your little ones are doing good! Are they in their own tanks? I'd love to have another beardie but having another tank- I have no idea where I'd put it.

Drachen hit over 42g today and Treven hit about 23 they are growing nicely

How are they doing now? I weighed Nikka today and she topped out at 53 grams. It's exciting to see her thicken up! How are they eating?

Hey guys and gals sorry I havent been on in a while it's been pretty busy. The Dragons are growing up Treven just hit over 70grams and Drachen is well over 140.
