I have an 8 month old female beardie named Terra. Don't know what up exactly. Just curious. But she seems to have a hard time shedding. Sometimes. Cause her shed generally under her neck comes off as thick and yellow, sometimes down her belly and on her back. I mean i soak her for a bout a half and hour and gently scrub a little, amd it starts to come up. I don't know if it's just an odd shed for her or what.
Some light in the situation would be nice.
She's a tan/bright orange morph.. Like a desert fire i think its called.
Tank: 4×2×1.5 glass
Temps: basking 100 to 110
Cool 85 to 90
Humidity: 30 to 40/50. Depending on weather. Usually always 30 to 40.
Has a 38 inche tube reptisun 10.0 uvb/uva bulb.
Yes. I will upload with this message. Like i said you can see the yellow, amd on the bottom in the one where it shows it. You can see it's starting to come up. That is from after her bath earlier. The other is her back like i mentioned.
That doesn't look like YF to me. The scales look healthy. The shedding skin has a yellow tint to it but I think that may be natural coloring. YF tends to look more scab like from the examples I've seen.
YF infects the skin and also causes internal infection so it doesn't go away during a shed. It requires both a topical antifungal and an oral antifungal med to keep it in check.
