So I bought this bearded dragon at PetSmart a little while ago and named him Mushu. He's currently 2 and a half months old, happy and seemingly healthy. After his first shed at home I noticed he developed a yellow patch of skin under his right arm and at first I didn't think much of it. I thought it was just the pumpkin he's been eating. But today I gave him a bath and saw that this yellow colour has spread underneath his right leg and tail too. I really hope it isn't yellow fungus because I've already grown so attached to his active, silly and infectious personality.
Hi there....the tail is just shedding skin, beardies do shed in stages and always have irregular patterns. I don't know for sure about the leg but it probably is the same thing. Hopefully that's all it is, you'll see in a few days or week if it sheds off, but the tail is just going in to shed.
Definitely, I agree.
That is just old skin, which does have the tendency to turn a yellowish dull color right before it comes off. You can give him a quick warm bath to help it slough off if he seems to be having any trouble!
