Hi, I understand BSFL is having a lot of calcium and need not be dusted with calcium when feed to beardie. But may I know how about after they turn into flies, do they still have high calcium?
Because my beardie he loves the flies (never enough) and not so keen on the larvae, so I'm not sure when he is eating flies only (10-20 per day), do I need to dust them with calcium?
My beardie has been having flies only for the past 1 week, these few days his head is trembling, is it because of calcium deficiency? Thank you!
Calcium homeostasis in Drosophila melanogaster was examined in response to the challenges imposed by growth, reproduction and variations in dietary calcium content. Turnover time for calcium, calculated as the time for (45)Ca(2+)to accumulate to half the steady state value of 3.46 nmol/fly, was...
