My 8 month old female beardie has been glass dancing like crazy the past few days.
Nothing in her environment has changed to cause stress so I'm starting to worry that maybe she has infertile eggs.
She's my only beardie so she's never been around a male.
She's in a 40 gallon breeder. Her basking is around 105 (I use a temp gun) and I have the Reptisun 10.0 UVB tube.
Her appetite has decreased and she has been pooping like 2 small poops in a day. Which I read on another topic are signs...
Her belly feels soft though.
I tried letting her play in a pack-n-play but she just ran around and tried to climb out.
Am I just paranoid? I don't want her to get egg-bound
My previous beardie was a boy so this is new to me...
Thanks!
Hello, How is your girl doing? Is she still glass dancing?? I am surprised noone answered your post...I am very interested to hear how she is doing.
Kelly
Thanks for asking, she hasn't been glass dancing as non-stop today, hopefully she's feeling better?
I put a lay box in her tank but she never went in it. I'm still not sure what has been wrong...
Her appetite is also picking up, she eats most of her daily salad but only a few crickets a day compared to her normal about 30-50 or so a day.
Glad to hear that she has settled down. Ya know,,,my girl started doing that when she was real young...so I started taking her out of her tank and she would go poo. So now she never goes poo in her tank!! My boy is the same age, they are both about 18 months, anyway, I just got him this last August and he doesn't go poo in his viv anymore either. They hate to go poo in their viv. Not saying that is whats up with your girl, but it sure is nice to not have to clean up their poo.
