DIY enclosure advice, stain question, wall covers.

I have a question about diy enclosures. I’ve been told and google has told me two different things about stain and beardies. I found a computer hutch that I would really like to use as the base for an enclosure. It is 4x2x5. It is split into a top and bottom. I want to use the top as the enclosure and the bottom for storage. Someone told me the stain would be harmful so therefore I should use a dresser or tv stand. Wouldn’t a stain be problematic on any reused furniture? Also told and googled that as long as I use a safe sealant I don’t have to worry about the stain. Thanks in advance!

Use a polyurethane seal and let it cure until there are no more fumes and you should be fine. The suggestions for dresser or TV stand were probably thinking those were made of melamine or had some other type of finish or veneer that didn't need to be refinished.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
