Hey guys! Time for Tater Tot to get a bigger enclosure and thought about building my own.
I was thinking about using an old dresser that I have as the base. The bottom and back will need replaced but the side are sturdy melamine.
I have a ton of osb board but have seen mixed reviews on whether or not to use this in a tank. It is a bearded dragon so very low humidity. Is osb fine to use? Also I was thinking about doing a foam backround with either grout or drylok over top of it ( prefererance?) Would I need to water proof the osb before doing so? Wanna keep the cost down but I want to do it right. I have osb, two gallons of drylock at hand so using those would be preferred. Thanks
I responded in your other thread, but you can seal it with wood sealer such as polyurethane, or you can go as simple as just painting it. Paint is actually an effective sealer too.
Thanks Brandon. How sdo u recommend doing a spray foam backround? I have seen some people do spray foam then grout and some people do spray foam then dryloc. What works better? Also after the grout/dryloc do I need to seal it?
