I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was any upside to Dubia vs Discoid other than the fact they are easier to sex (something I have no issue with doing with Discoids... easy enough if you know how). A mom n pop place by me sold me 150 Discoid (about 65-70 adults - several pregnant and one or two already gave birth, rest mid to large nymphs) for around $35 so I know that's a deal, but wondering if it would be worth while in the long run to eventually make the swap to Dubia... and at this point I'm thinking no unless I can find a really great deal on them.
Any other opinions on the matter would be very helpful.
I breed both and when feeding my beardie I prefer using discoids, instead of feeding her like 7-10 adult dubia I only need to feed her 2 adult discoids at a time.

This is their biggest advantage right here. They do tend to breed a little slower than Dubia though. Other than that the sometimes emit a little bit of a defensive odor when disturbed but nothing that bad.
Thanks for your input. I've encountered the odor and even if they smelled like that constantly its still much better than crickets. My dragon is about 16 inches so she is probably good with just one, although sometimes I can't resist the look she gives me so she'll get a larger nymph with it. lol.
