What a heart-warming story. A true underdragon to wonderdragon story. I love the name and I love the show. If you get a girl you should tribute to Rita, and if you have no idea what I am talking about let me know...lol.
Oh it was great! You should have seen him this morning. He saw that spoon of baby food and raised himself up tilted his head, then ATTACK! ! That is how it went this morning every time we gave him a spoon full of baby food. He was a baby food killing machine. lol
I love his appetite. The only difficult thing is getting that dang medicine in him. He hates it. But so far so good. I am going to go ahead and call the vet and make his appointment for monday to go ahead and get his blood work done since he is doing so good.
I will try to get a video tonight of him chompin down on his dinner.
I got a video of him nom, nom, nomming his dinner. Wait I second that, I got a video of him attacking his dinner. lol My battery died in my camera so I will post as soon as its charged. At bath time this evening he stood up in the bath all by himself, usually I would have to support him because of the lack of muscle in his back legs. Taking it as a good thing, he is starting to develop more muscle in his back legs from the good nutrition and exercise. I have also been massaging his back legs to relax the muscle during bath time.
I spoke with the vet and Dexter is going in on the 25th for his blood work. I am hoping that he isn't loaded with parasites and worms, ect. All that means for the poor little guy is more meds. But we will do whatever it takes to make him all better again! !
I am very pleased with his progress so far, wait till you see the video of him attacking his dinner!
He's definitely named after Mr. Morgan! Today I came home from work to give him lunch and a bath. To my surprise he left us a fecal sample for the vet. I have no idea how long he had this in his system but it was A LOT. I'm happy he was able to get it out of him though. He had a whole cricket in there. He hasn't had any crickets while he has been with us so it must have been a while since he last went. Our spoiled beardies only get phoenix worms, hornworms, and silkworms. Soon we will be starting a dubia colony again as well.
I've been working on his new viv on my free time. I can't wait to get it done so we can move him into it! viewtopic.php?f=75&t=121313t=121313
