I have 5 eggs from Tangs first clutch that have been incubating for 89 days now. They have been at 82-84F with 70-80% humidity. I have candled them and see veins and big dark spots in them. There is one egg that has been dented for a little over 48 hours now and still no hatching!! They have been sweating for over 2 weeks as well.
As long as there is veins that means that they are alive right?? Whats the deal with these guys?? Could they be defective or something?? Someone let me know that over 90 days incubating is not uncommon.
I can post a pic of them if that would help you see my situation.
I know nothing about eggs, but maybe they're late bloomers. Maybe their having trouble getting out of their shells. If one's dented, you can try cuticle scissors and cutting a small hole. But I'd wait for someone else who might know more before using cuticle scissors to cut a small hole.
My first batch went 87 days and denting means that one should hatch in few days. once one dents they all should within a week. It took 2 weeks before my last one hatched.Good luck
I hope they hatch soon. Would you post some pics of them? I bet they look so cute. I saw a baby bearded dragon in a pet store asleep under the infrared light. So small!
Still no hatching yet. I cut the deflated egg open with cuticle scissors and guess what there was a little beardie in there with quite a bit of yolk sac left so i put him in a separate dish on a wet paper towel in the incubator. Hopefully he will stay alive... im just too damn impatient should have left him alone.
There is one egg that started to deflate today so fingers crossed in the next day or two it will hatch. ill post pics when they hatch
