Day 4 of free roaming...brave new world.

The little warrior is getting bolder. At first didnt know what to make of the worm not being in his bowl...but he got it! He looks back at me every now and again for reassurance. And last pic is resting on his tree, mulling over his adventures "abroad" haha.

I think they are trying to figure out whether they are able to climb them.

Yes. My dragon tried it for a long time on the bookcases - too slick. He tried it for weeks each time I let him out, likely he is an avid climber and might have thought if he just figures out how it works, he'll be able to do so.
Then one day he tried it again, showed quickly a grey beard (if he'd be a human, he might have said the "f" word ), went away and never tried it. He looks at the bookcases, but doesn't attempt to climb them anymore.

Nah, the salads in his world are just too tasty haha. Caught him at the salad bowl eating some red pepper and some kale. He didnt care this time, ate it right in front of me.

He found a new resting spot lol. I swear this guy has tried out and enjoyed every single spot in his enclosure! His beard is always happy white now, and I think he has a little beardie smile (I know, I know, Im reading way too much into that, but he has had a look of indifference or inattention and a faint gray beard when he is aggravated, and I havent seen that at all lately). It makes me so happy to give him a good life!

Thank you! I bet Kai thinks WE live in a tank, and HE is outdoors lol. (He can only free roam in the kitchen, other rooms not safe for him). Our enclosure: nothing climbable, just high gray and silver walls (cabinets and appliances-his view). Front of enclosure (sliding doors) has boring view (backyard). No trees inside our enclosure, no dirt to dig, no greens, no bugs, no mountains (rocks) to climb, no sun! (we live in western ny and its cloudy and cold right now). I think he was relieved to be back in the great outdoors (his enclosure). He climbed up in the trees and took a nap in the "sun" (heat lamp and uvb) when he got home. Now he smiles sadly at me, "poor human, your tank is bigger but its so boring!" Hahaha.
