Damaged scabby scale

Hi, My little guy (8 months) has what looks like some kind of scab or damaged scale issue on the side of his mouth. Just this week he'd come out of a partial face shed. Here are some photos, I'm not sure if I might need to treat it in some way or just leave it?

Looks like shed --- I would leave it for now and lets see what it does -- if it gets worse post back on here and we can go from there

that piece seems that it came off a few days ago, I assume its' okay, this is what it looks like now. Should I expect that scale part will grow back?

Here is an update, photos from yesterday and today, that same area is showing again , I am assuming its shed but it just looks unusual from what I've experienced already, and he just went through a full head shed. Does shed appear in small areas like this?

@KarrieRee - is it common that a tiny area like that only shows shed? To update you, that shed has started to come off
