Damaged nose/snout?

My 7 year old female bearded dragon has had an indent in her "chin" for as long as I can remember. I've had a friend point it out but I've never though much more of it because it looked normal otherwise. But the other day I noticed that it is dark in color now. Is this something I need to worry about? Or see a vet? Is there infection or something?

Hi there....it doesn't look infected from the pic, but if it seems that way to you , try some raw honey on it. It's a natural antimicrobial. If you decide to use it, just a small dab....then be sure there are no loose crickets in the tank to go after it.

The basking side of my tank isn't getting up to the suggested 100degrees. Does that mean I need to get a new basking light?
